What countries do you ship to?
We offer worldwide shipping via DHL to nearly all destinations, with the exception of Armenia, where we are located. You can view the full list of countries we deliver to here.

How I can check the status of my order.
Once your order is received and dispatched, you will receive an automatic order confirmation. Shortly after, the shipping confirmation (that you filled during the order placement) with your tracking number will be emailed to you. You can also log in to your account at the top right corner of our homepage to check the updated status and to track the shipping progress.

Can I change my order?
If your order hasn’t been shipped yet, no problem – just shoot us an email at [email protected] with your order number and your change request, and we’ll be happy to help you out.
If your order has already been shipped, unfortunately, we won’t be able to make changes, only cancellations. For more details on how to cancel and return your order, please see the next question or visit our Return & Delivery page.

Can I cancel an order while it is on its way to me?
Absolutely, if your product has already been shipped but hasn’t been delivered and you decide to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. Send an email to [email protected] with your Order Number. We’ll issue a refund within one business day. However, please be aware that we’ll need to deduct the shipping costs for both the outbound and return journey from your refund. Thank you for your understanding!

Can I return an order or cancel it after it has been shipped?
Certainly, if the product isn’t defective, but just isn’t to your liking, you can return it within 30 days from the purchase, providing it hasn’t been used and remains it its original packaging. We recommend contacting us at [email protected] prior the return shipping. Once the product is received and inspected we will contact you within 5 business days to confirm the accept of the item returned or the reason for not accepting it. Once we accept the return we will issue the refund, but deduct the costs for shipping.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?
Typically, delivery times range from 4 to 10 business days, depending on your location and the customs processing policies in your country. We usually dispatch orders within 1-4 business days, and the average shipping time with DHL can vary from a few days to a couple of weeks.
After placing an order, you can check its status in the ‘Your Orders’ section of our website. Once the order is shipped, you can also track it on the DHL website using the tracking number provided in your order confirmation email and in your profile on our website.

What are the shipping costs?
We are based in Armenia and ship all our orders via DHL to ensure safe and prompt delivery. Given the current high costs of international shipping, we understand the frustration these additional expenses may cause. To alleviate this burden, we cover 50% of DHL’s shipping fee, charging our customers only the remaining half. The shipping price you’ll be charged when placing an order depends on your location and the original DHL shipping costs to that area.
You can find a list of countries we deliver to and the corresponding shipping charges for buyers from these countries on this page. This information will also be displayed before payment when you proceed to checkout.

What is the status of my order and how can I track it once it has been shipped?
After placing an order, you can check its status in the ‘Your Orders’ section of our website. Once the order is shipped, you can also track it on the DHL website using the tracking number provided in your order confirmation email and in your profile on our website.

What is the currency exchange rate?
Our prices are listed in US dollars. If you’re using a credit or debit card in a different currency, the conversion will be done at your bank’s exchange rate.

How much are the import duties and taxes for my order?
Just a heads up: orders sent outside the Republic of Armenia might face import taxes, customs duties, and fees from the destination country. These extra costs are the recipient’s responsibility, and sadly, we can’t predict or control them. Customs rules can differ a lot from place to place, so it’s a good idea to check with your local customs office to know what to expect. Also, keep in mind that if your order needs to go through customs clearance, it could take a bit longer to reach you than initially estimated.

My pen came with an ink cartridge. What ink is it?
Our pens are supplied with Diamine Oxford Blue ink cartridges. We hope you’ll enjoy their rich, dark blue shade.

I want to replace my nib. Which nib will fit my BENU pen?
We equip our pens with Schmidt nibs – FH452 and FH241, depending on the pen model. To find out which nib your pen has, check out our Nib Compatibility Chart. You can switch your current nib with another Schmidt nib, either FH452 or FH241, based on your pen’s model.
It’s important to know that nibs from other brands probably won’t fit and if you decide to try one, it’s at your own risk. Also, just a heads up, switching to a non-Schmidt nib, other than FH452 or FH241, will unfortunately void your pen’s warranty.

Which converters will fit my BENU pen?
All our pens, except those in the Ambrosia and Minima collections, work with Schmidt converters, especially the K2 model. While all international standard converters should fit, Schmidt converters are recommended for the best fit.
The Minima and Ambrosia collections, designed as pocket-sized pens, only use mini cartridges. Standard converters or cartridges are too large for these models. Compatible converters for these pens are mini-sized, no longer than 4.0 cm / 1.6 inches, like the Kaweco Squeeze Fountain Pen Converter for Sport & Liliput Series. Alternatively, you can use empty ink cartridges or convert these pens to an eyedropper fill. For more details, check the product descriptions on our website.

Which ink can I use for BENU fountain pens?
With a converter, you can use any ink that’s clearly labeled as suitable for BENU pens. We recommend using high-quality ink from reputable brands, such as Colorverse, De Atramentis, Diamine, Faber-Castell, Ferris Wheel Press, Herbin, Noodler’s, Organics Studio, Parker, Pelikan, Pilot Iroshizuku, Robert Oster, and Waterman, among others.
For cartridges, please ensure they are of international standard size.

Which refill can be used in BENU rollerball pens?
Rollerball pens from the Euphoria and Scepter collections can use the ‘Parker-style’ ballpoint refill, which is a standard G2 pattern refill.
Rollerball pens from the Ambrosia and Minima collections are compatible with international standard short ink cartridges.
Rollerball pens from the Skull & Roses collection can use international standard ink cartridges and international standard ink converters filled with ink suitable for fountain pens.

How is the artwork on the hand-painted pens protected?
All hand-painted artwork on BENU pens is protected with a transparent top coat to prevent scratches and wear. Because of this, you can use these pens just like any other, including posting the cap on the barrel, without risking damage to the hand-painted elements.

Are glow-in-the-dark pens safe?
We use photoluminescent pigments based on ZnS in our pens to create a fun glow-in-the-dark effect. This material is completely safe and is widely used in various consumer products, such as glowing watch dials, automobile indicators, and various signboards. This pigment is even permitted for use in children’s toys as it is entirely free from radioactivity and any potential hazards.

How long does the glow in the glow-in-the-dark pens last?
These brilliant pens usually glow for about 1-3 hours, but it can vary depending on how long they’ve been exposed to light and how bright the light source is. You can “charge” the pen with different lights – like natural sunlight, your desk lamp, or an LED lamp. Just a heads-up, LED lights usually make a softer glow than sunlight or old-school bulbs. But be careful not to overheat them, especially with strong lights or direct sun. Too much heat (over 50°C / 122°F) can mess with the resin’s quality. Keep it cool, and enjoy the glow!

How do I can clean the nib in my BENU pen?
The best way to clean your pen’s nib is as follows:
1. Uncap the pen and unscrew the grip section from the barrel. We don’t recommend pulling out the nib from the grip section, even if you’re experienced. Cleaning the nib while it’s still in the grip section ensures a thorough clean.
2. Remove the converter or cartridge from the grip.
3. Run the grip section with the nib under cold or room-temperature water until the water runs clear. Then, flip the section over and rinse it again for a few seconds. If your pen hasn’t been used for a while and needs more thorough cleaning, soak the grip section in a cup of clean water overnight.
4. Dry the nib and grip section with a soft, lint-free cloth or paper towel.
5. The cleaning is now complete! You can insert a new ink cartridge or converter and reattach the grip to the barrel.

How do I remove an ink stain on my BENU pen?
Stains, especially from red or pink inks, can be a stubborn problem on our cherished writing instruments. How easily and thoroughly you can clean your pen often depends on the characteristics of the ink. To remove stubborn ink stains without damaging the pen, you might try gently cleaning with a 3%-5% household ammonia solution. If that doesn’t work, a 75% alcohol solution or 3% hydrogen peroxide could also be effective.

The nib & feeder are misaligned: what should I do?
Nib and feeder misalignments, although quite rare, can sometimes occur during product transportation or due to other shocks. Fortunately, this issue is easily fixable and won’t impact the quality of the nib. All you need to do is adjust the nib into the correct position by applying a small amount of pressure to its side. Can I use BENU Fountain pen holders to store any pen?
Currently, BENU offers three distinct pen holder designs – Crystalline, Luminous, and Skull.
Our Crystalline and Luminous pen holders are especially crafted for our Briolette collection pens. They do fit most other pens as well, not just ours, but we can’t promise they’ll be compatible with every pen out there. To help you figure out if they’re right for your pens, here are the measurements: the internal hole’s depth is _____ mm / _____ inches, and its diameter is _____ mm / _____ inches.
As for the Skull holder, it’s tailor-made for our BENU Classic Black Skull fountain pen. Since this holder is designed to perfectly match this specific pen, which weighs 18 grams and is 4.96 inches/12.6 mm long, it might not be ideal for holding other pens, including those from our Skull & Roses collection, that are longer and heavier.

What is covered with BENU's warranty?
For any BENU product purchased after January 1, 2020, our warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship. If your BENU product has a defect, we’ll repair or replace it at no charge. However, it’s important to note that this doesn’t include routine maintenance, wear and tear from regular use, or damage due to accidents, misuse, alterations, or unauthorized repairs. For our fountain pens, the warranty won’t cover issues caused by using unsuitable inks.

Do you have a physical retail shop?
No, we do not – BENU’s store operates exclusively online. However, you are welcome to explore our list of authorized dealers here to find the nearest physical shop in your area where our pens are available.

Can I visit you in Yerevan, Armenia?
We would love to host you at our location, but unfortunately, we do not have an open showroom or retail store at the moment, only a manufacturing facility that is not open to the public.
